Exciting news ahead! As of April 12, 2024, Sherwood Forest Mobile Home Park has welcomed new management on board.
Now, onto the good stuff – our community makeover plan! Let's bring back the glory days of Sherwood Forest (pre-Camp Fire) together. From road repairs to fresh amenities, we're on a mission to make our corner of Paradise shine. We are doing this in phases, this is what you can expect during the phases.
Road Improvement - The road was badly damaged during the fire. Subsequently, the road had to be dug up during rebuilding of the infrastructure. Due to the cost, we are tackling this in two phases. In the first stage, we will re-seal the road to the south of the creek. Once the south side of the park is filled with homes, budget with increased occupancy, we will repave the road on the north of the creek.
Amenities - The community has a lot of potential to provide them with its green space near the creek and the clubhouse. The current ideas include outdoor games (such as bocce court), picnic tables, games in the clubhouse. If you have suggestions, please email us at info@sherwoodforest.co.
Brand New Homes for Sale - We will be working with home manufacturers to bring in brand new, quality homes with financing options to the community. The financing programs will provide very affordable monthly payments. We will also partner with different lenders to provide a wide range of financing options.
Potential Conversion to All Age Community - We are considering converting the community to an all-age community from 55+ community. Our initial investigation showed that there is strong need for housing for all ages in the area. If we do make the switch, we will make sure to enforce rules and regulations to maintain the peace and quiet and the high quality of living in Sherwood Forest.
Landscaping Improvements - We will improve the landscaping in the community. We will clean up more vegetation, remove remaining debris, remove sick/dead trees, and more. Think of this as we are sprucing up our communities curb appeal!
Sign - We will design and install an attractive sign for the community.
Did you or do you know someone who lost their home in the Camp Fire? Town of Paradise's Owner Occupied Renovation and Reconstruction program for former residents of the Sherwood Forest Mobile Home Park who lost their home in the fire. The program can provide up to $100k in loans with deferred payment (meaning you don't make loan payments) for 30 years. If this is something you’re interested in, let us know!
We look forward to restoring Sherwood Forest Mobile Home Park and providing affordable home ownership opportunities in Paradise. We know that we will face challenges during the way but we will work with the community, residents, and buyers to get through them! We will make Sherwood Forest the ultimate place to call home, once again.
